Sharing some of our must have baby items from our baby registry! As a first time mom, I can’t give my personal opinion on them however after doing a lot of research and asking for recommendations, these are the products we decided to purchase/use! I’ll be sure to give an update once we actually start using them!
Owlet Smart Sock & Monitor – Baby’s safety is our #1 priority so we knew we wanted the Owlet Smart Sock to monitor him while sleeping. The Smart Sock monitors baby’s oxygen levels, heart rate & more and alerts you when something is abnormal. You track everything through an app on your phone making it super convenient!
UPPAbaby Vista V2 Stroller & Basinet/UPPAbaby Mesa Carseat – You’ve probably seen this stroller a million times on Instagram, and I guess you could say I was “influenced” to buying it. It is rather pricey but we managed to snag it on sale, plus it can hold up to three kids at once so we plan on using it for years to come! The Mesa carseat works with the Vista stroller and was super easy to install in the car!
Hatch Baby Rest Sound Machine & Night Light – I’ve actually been wanting one of these for myself so I’m excited we get to use it now for the baby! It’s basically a night light/sound machine that you can control from your smartphone. It has various sounds, colors etc and you can customize your own.
HALO Bassinet & HALO Sleepsack – We originally thought about getting the SNOO Bassinet but ultimately the price seemed crazy for something we would use for only a few months. We decided on the HALO Bassinet which I’ve heard great things about as well. It has a 360 swivel and the one side lowers so it’s easy to get baby out while in bed. We plan on using the HALO Sleepsack’s to keep baby snug and cozy while sleeping in the bassinet.
4moms mamaRoo – Another very popular product, this infant seat bounces, sways, and more with 5 different settings and speeds. It also has sounds and you can even hook your phone up to it to play music. We got this instead of a baby swing. Be sure to get the newborn inserts for when baby is little!
Ubbi Diaper Pail – The main reason we choose this diaper pail was that it doesn’t require special bags, you simply use regular trash bags! We’re hoping this will save us some money, not having to buy bags all the time. The pail is made of steel which helps lock in odors. I will say when we received this item, we were shocked at how tiny it was!
Target Cloud Island Sleepers – These were recommended by so many people because they are soft and have a zipper close instead of buttons/snaps, making diaper changes super quick and easy! Plus, they are affordable!
BABYBJORN Baby Carrier Mini – We actually registered for several baby carriers because I’m not sure which I’ll like best or which will work best for us. This specific one has great reviews and was created specifically for newborns but can hold babies up to 24 pounds. It also seemed less bulky and better for someone smaller like me.
Comotomo Bottles & Boon Orb Bottle Warmer – Obviously we don’t know if baby will like these bottles, but these are the ones we are choosing to start with. I do plan on breastfeeding/pumping & these ones are supposedly good for babies who do both. We also chose the Boon Orb Bottle Warmer after reading good reviews.
Keekaroo Peanut Changer – We decided to use a normal dresser for our “changing table” so we wanted a changing pad that was slip resistant. This one is also water resistant and easy to clean, meaning you don’t have to worry about messes!
DockATot Deluxe – I wouldn’t say this was a must-have for us considering it’s pretty pricey but we ended up having a discount and gift card so we ultimately got one. It’s basically a lounger for the baby where they can lay and not worry about them rolling out. It’s portable so it will be nice for when we are on the go and need somewhere for the baby to lay.
Copper Pearl Bibs – These bibs are my favorite so far, just based on the feel and cute patterns. They are made of 100% cotton on the front and 100% polyester fleece on the back making them super absorbent but also super soft. They are adjustable and work for ages 3-36 months. They also come in the cutest prints like tacos and sushi. Matching burp cloths are also available.
4moms Breeze Plus Playard – This is the pack-n-play we decided to go with. It’s one push open and one pull close, making it easy to set-up and travel with. We plan on keeping it in our living room for diaper changes and naps. It features a built-in bassinet and changing station making it super convenient.
Wubbanub Pacifier – We don’t actually know if baby boy will like this pacifier but we received several from our baby shower. It’s basically a pacifier attached to a small stuffed animal. The problem for us will be keeping the dogs off of them!
Eddie Bauer Cascade Diaper Bag & Freshly Picked Classic Diaper Bag – I knew the diaper bag would most likely replace my purse so I wanted something cute and stylish and also was a backpack so I could be hands-free. Honestly, I’ve been waiting years to rock a backpack purse because I hate carrying purses/wallets when shopping but I also thought backpacks were such a mom thing! LOL. I knew Walt would want something different and he picked out the Eddie Bauer backpack.
Boppy – Honestly, you can’t have a baby without a Boppy! I’ve been told this is an essential especially for when you’re breastfeeding. They also make so many other products now, including the newborn lounger which we also got (It’s similar to the DockATot but a lot cheaper!).
